Scholastic Training Case Study

Scholastic Training Course

ETS was approached to provide the faculty and health and safety management of a large and well respected U.S College to design and provide a travel safety course tailored to their faculty and focusing primarily on crisis risk management - aiming to assist faculty that were responsible for student health and safety abroad to learn how to effectively minimize and manage risk

ETS designed and provided the course within short notice. It was tailored to identify the importance of planning, preparation and prevention as the key principals to student travel safety.

Utilizing an upcoming expedition as a background ETS identified the key considerations that faculty should take into account both prior to departure and when in country. Emergency Action Plans (EAP’s) and how to react effectively in crisis or emergency situation were discussed with a number of case studies and scenarios being utilized to allow participants to learn the basic rules on how to react in the face of various security incidents.
