
Overview
ETS Risk Management is seeking 2 highly capable Embedded Security Program Managers (1 x DC/NYC and 1 x SF) to support a leading global technology company. This role will be embedded directly within the client’s Events, Security, and Executive Operations ecosystem, serving as the primary security lead for a diverse portfolio of corporate events, executive engagements, industry conferences, customer activations, internal gatherings, and high-profile public appearances.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor and operational lead, responsible for developing and executing event security strategies that protect people, assets, reputation, and business operations while enabling exceptional attendee experiences.
This is a client-facing role requiring close collaboration with executive leadership, corporate security teams, event planners, workplace teams, communications professionals, executive protection personnel, and external security partners worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Event Security Planning & Delivery
• Lead security planning and operational delivery for a global portfolio of corporate events, conferences, executive meetings, customer engagements, offsites, and internal events.
• Develop event-specific security plans proportionate to the size, profile, complexity, and risk level of each engagement.
• Conduct venue security assessments, advance visits, and site evaluations across domestic and international locations.
• Develop and manage emergency response, crisis management, medical, evacuation, shelter-in-place, and business continuity plans for events.
• Support event teams throughout the planning lifecycle, from concept development through post-event reporting.
Executive & VIP Support
• Coordinate security planning for executives, board members, speakers, VIPs, and high-profile guests attending events.
• Liaise with executive protection teams, corporate security departments, visiting protection details, venue security teams, and law enforcement agencies as required.
• Develop arrival, departure, movement, secure holding, contingency, and escalation plans for protected individuals.
• Support executive travel and event-related risk assessments where required.
Security Operations
• Oversee event security vendors, guard forces, screening teams, medical providers, transportation partners, and venue security personnel.
• Manage credentialing, access control, visitor management, screening operations, and secure-area procedures.
• Coordinate command-and-control functions during events, including communications plans and incident escalation protocols.
• Support event operations centres (EOCs), crisis management teams, and executive leadership during live incidents.
Protective Intelligence & Risk Management
• Conduct event-specific threat and risk assessments.
• Coordinate intelligence monitoring related to protests, activist activity, disruptive individuals, insider threats, emerging security concerns, and geopolitical developments.
• Partner with ETS intelligence analysts and client stakeholders to ensure proactive identification and mitigation of threats.
• Produce written assessments, executive briefings, and operational recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as a trusted security partner to client stakeholders across Security, Events, Workplace, Communications, Marketing, Recruiting, Legal, and Executive Operations teams.
• Participate in planning meetings and provide security guidance that balances risk management with business objectives.
• Deliver concise and professional briefings to senior leadership and event stakeholders.
Program Development
• Support the development and continuous improvement of event security standards, templates, playbooks, operating procedures, and best practices.
• Contribute to after-action reviews, lessons learned processes, and program maturity initiatives.
• Assist with KPI development, reporting metrics, and strategic planning efforts that support long-term event security objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
• 3+ years of experience in event security, executive protection, security operations, crisis management, corporate security, law enforcement, military, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience planning and delivering security operations for corporate events, conferences, executive engagements, or high-profile gatherings.
• Experience working directly with senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred
• Experience supporting technology, Fortune 500, or multinational corporate environments.
• Experience working alongside executive protection teams and high-profile principals.
• Familiarity with intelligence and threat assessment methodologies
• Experience supporting global event portfolios.
• Background in military, law enforcement, intelligence, emergency management, or government security environments.
• Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, PMP, ASIS, or equivalent.

• Travel Requirement: Approximately 25–40% into either DC/NYC or San Francisco and CONUS
• Contract Duration: Initial 12-Month Engagement with Extension Potential
• Start Date: October/November 2026
• Salary range $130-135k
