Summary:
ETS Risk Management is seeking an experienced GSOC, Travel and Events Operator to join our
embedded team supporting one of our longstanding clients. The 24/7 Global Security Operations
Center provides critical support across physical security operations, incident response, and global
crisis management for our clients worldwide corporate workforce and facilities.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced, high-performing security
environment supporting global safety and security initiatives. The successful candidate will be
required to travel both domestically and internationally to embed within various Operations Centers
in support of client-sponsored events and special projects. During these deployments, the Operator
will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to support operational security, incident
coordination, and event safety initiatives.
Outside of event deployments, the Operator will play a key role within the GSOC environment and
will be responsible for access control management, CCTV monitoring, incident response, customer
service, and other operational duties as required. The successful candidate will ensure all operations
are conducted in accordance with established policies, procedures, and client standards while always
maintaining professionalism and operational excellence.
Operators work in a 24/7 environment utilizing a wide range of security technologies and intelligence
tools, including access control systems, alarm monitoring platforms, CCTV systems, business
intelligence resources, and open-source media monitoring tools. The team supports incidents and
events that may impact the client’s people, assets, operations, facilities, and brand reputation on a
global scale. Operators are expected to work collaboratively with internal departments and external
partners to respond effectively to security incidents and emerging situations.
Success in this role requires strong decision-making abilities, excellent communication skills,
adaptability, and a proactive mindset. Candidates must be capable of managing competing priorities
in a dynamic and fast-moving environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Strong time management and the ability to continuously prioritise tasks are essential in delivering
effective support services within this operational setting.
This position operates on a 4/10 schedule outside of event deployments. During event periods,
working hours will be aligned with operational requirements and may include overnight shifts,
weekends, public holidays, and extended hours during critical operations or live events. Candidates
must be flexible and willing to travel as required to support client operations globally.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor CCTV and/or alarms to dispatch security or emergency response personnel to
assist in mitigating safety and security hazards.
• Integrate with external teams to support client focused initiatives.
• Investigate and triage security incidents.
• Utilize various communication platforms concurrently to escalate security issues and
investigative findings to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain a working knowledge of GSOC and event-specific standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate a varying sized team of operators to triage incidents and crises, both in a GSOC
and event setting.
• Draft, review, and distribute stakeholder and emergency notifications.
• Write and/or quality check event logbooks and extensive reports detailing the GSOC’s
response to incidents and crises.
• Understand and implement incident/crisis management tactics without strict guidelines
and limited direct supervision.
• Assess various intelligence notifications to determine probability and severity of incident
impact to client assets, people, property, or brand.
• Participate in tabletop exercises and feedback sessions pre and post event.
• Provide first line assistance to corporate employees and travelers in all concerns relating to
safety and security.
• Create and facilitate event-related trainings.
• Coordinate with multiple partner teams simultaneously and follow proper procedures to
manage a variety of incidents, from minor incidents at the local level to global crises.
• Display excellent customer service through radio, phone calls, emails, and chats with
customers.
• Manage personal business travel budget and report expenses.
Qualifications:
Must Have
• Prior experience in a GSOC, Security Operations Center (SOC), Tactical Operations Center
(TOC), or similar.
• Experience with security systems, including alarm monitoring, electronic access control, and
CCTV.
• Experience with multi-modality dispatch (radio, phone call, and messaging, amongst others).
• Must be able to travel approximately 60% of time annually, international and domestic.
• Must have and be able to maintain a United States passport.
• Must be able to obtain work permits, visas, and/or other as needed to support event travel.
• Comfortable in ambiguous situations with a self-starter mentality
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, at times stressed, work environment.
• Comfortable with a high-tech working environment and willing to learn new tools and
innovations.
• Flexibility to work a variety of different shifts and willingness to assist the team with
overtime when needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite
Nice to Have
• Experience in Event Security or Security Project Management
• Bachelor’s degree in international Affairs/Relations/Business, Emergency Management,
Political Science, Criminal Justice, or related discipline
• Experience with mass communications systems
